KITE RUNNER by Khaled Hosseini...well earned top spot on NYT Bestseller list

Just finished THE KITE RUNNER by Khaled Hosseini. It was wonderful read and I devoured it in just 3 days. A haunting story of two boys in Afghanistan, Amir born to privilege and Hassan born to his servitude. The boys are connected in more ways than they ever knew. While Amir constantly tests the friendship, Hassan is forever loyal. At a Kite Flying event, Hassan runs after Amir's victory blue kite vowing "For you a thousand times over!" The beautiful moment is tarnished by a terrible incident that changes the boys relationship forever.

KITE RUNNER was a beautiful story that will keep me thinking for days to come. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I've already started A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS...another page turner.
